Patient Zero.

Gregg Garfield is a testament to the power of positive thinking.  He lived the adventurous life he imagined: skiing around the world, mountain biking, playing golf, staying fit and enjoying the company of friends and loved ones.  When he joined his ski buddies in Italy’s Dolomite Mountains late February 2020, he had no way to foresee that his life would be forever transformed. Gregg contracted Covid in Italy and returned to Southern California weakened and struggling to breathe.  His doctors gave him a 1% chance to survive.  While not the odds anyone would want to count on, Gregg fought from the brink of death to recover - after spending 31 days on a ventilator and 64 days in the hospital.  Along with his fiance AJ who relentlessly stayed by his side, it took a village of doctors, nurses and friends to help him through. Gregg achieved his goal of walking out of the hospital and is even now back to skiing!

His inspiring story as Patient Zero at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA, will fascinate you and leave you believing in miracles. Gregg shares his highly sought after story of resilience, community, mindset and triumph with Fortune 1000 companies, non-profits and schools nationwide.
